I Thinkthe theme of The Tiger Rising is Friendshp. I think this because Rob is nice to everybody. The new girl Sistine was being made fun of and Rob steps in to help. Even though he is picked on and made fun of he dosen't act back. He acts like nothing is bothering him.

Rob was sad when his mother died,
His father told him not to cry,
He kept the tiger on his mind,
He couldn't leave the thought behind,
He was bullied by Billy and Norton,
Who would hurt Rob Horton?
Rob's rash on his legs was already enough,
Standing up for Sistine made him tough,
And all the Kids thought he was not cool.
The Tiger Rising Character Analyzer By: Madi Feuerbach The character I choose to analyze was Rob. He is a very interesting character and has some troubles and issues with school and his family. You can see that in the book, Rob was picked on and he has a rash on his legs. Many people think is contagious so he has to stay out of school for a week or so. He lives in a hotel called The Kentucky Star even though they live in Florida and he lives there with just his dad because his mother died. He meets a new girl named Sistine and thinks she is somewhat crazy at first. He is a good character with a heart that can store emotions and never let out. I believe he is a good character and I liked learning about him in this book.

Well everyone in our group stands up for people but then sometimes we are afraid to stand up for what we believe. What character are you most like in the book? Well we really thought that we were most like Sistine because she was always strong and she always stood up for what she believed. What is your opinion on Willie May? I think that she gives really good advise and always knows what to say and how to make people feel better. What kind of person do you think rob was? Well he was a nerd deep down inside he was a really kind guy who just wanted to fit in. Who is your favorite character in this book? Our favorite character in the book was Sistine because she was really tough on the outside but really she had a hard life.
The Tiger Rising Madi Feuerbach The freedom of the tiger flows through their minds While Rob keeps all his emotions crammed inside. Sistine wonders will he ever let his emotions go Like the tiger in the cage, but he says no. Soon the tiger is let free and walks by them letting them be. He runs and runs but Rob’s dad pulls the trigger Their goes that big old tigger. Rob lets his feelings out and starts to scream and kick and shout Rob leaves with no tiger but still a best friend, And he always knows they’ll stay close till the end.
The Tiger Rising Connector Well Rob was a nerd and I connect to that because at the beginning of the year no one knew who I was. I am also much like Sistine. I am like her because we are both very tough on the outside but on the inside we get broken down. I am also like Willie May, the maid. I am like her because she loves giving advice and so do I. Those are only some of the people that I connect to in the story.
Character: Rob Rob likes to keep his feelings to himself. Rob is also really good at standing up for people. He is great at sticking up for people…He is also good at keeping secrets and he is a great artist. He also lets bullies pick on him. He has kept his feelings locked inside ever since his mom died.
